Your posted rate isn't your labor rate.

Discounts, comebacks and clocked hours nobody billed all pull your real number down. Put in a normal week and see what your shop actually collects per billed hour, and what the gap costs you over a year.

How this is calculated
Labor sales
Hours billed × posted rate × (1 − discounts %), for every tech, every week you're open.
Effective labor rate (ELR)
Labor sales ÷ hours billed. It's what each sold hour actually brought in after discounts and comebacks.
Productivity
Hours worked on repair orders ÷ hours paid. How much of the paid day a tech spends on customer cars.
Efficiency
Hours billed ÷ hours worked. Over 100% means techs beat flat-rate times.
Left on the table
What every paid hour would bring in at your posted rate, minus your actual labor sales. Split into discounts given away and paid hours that were never billed. If techs bill more hours than they're paid, that line shows as a gain.

See this number every day, not once a year.

GarageForge tracks billed vs. clocked hours on every repair order, so you catch a slipping labor rate the week it happens.
